Literature Text

Cryus sat in the rain and let the cool water soak him to the bone. He was determined to watch. Watch all of the other contestants in the tournament go on to round two while he was left behind, cheated out of going to along by Beyra herself.

He growled lowly as he watched her speak to the other dogs from afar. She should have told him that round one had began, if her knew things would have been completely different. He could have easily overpowered Captain…maybe even killed him. God knows that Cryus felt like killing him after what he did.

Bitterness and anger seems to overwhelm all of Cryus senses as he watched. "Don't think this'll change anything..." Cryus said softly to himself as he sat in the rain and watched the dogs that made it to the next round. A deep growl came from his throat, "You can't get rid of me that easily!"

"Man you need to find a female and relax."  Snarling, Cryus turned to look at who spoke and saw the Appenzeller Sennenhund named Hamlet.

Cryus gave him a cold, lifeless smile, "Oh yes…perfect idea you have. There is only one flaw I see in it. My tail is broken!"

Hamlet looked at him and nodded to his own tail, "Well, you not alone my friend."  He looked down and sighed, "I just wish that we could get a second chance. Or escape this fate."

And just then it came to Cryus. He looked to Hamlet, "And who is to say that we can't?"

Eyeing Cryus slightly Hamlet tilted his head, "But Beyra said once your tail is broken you lose your right to breed."

"Who cares what that lying, sneaking, two-faced hag says? Last time I checked she is not my leader or alpha. She has no power over me and what I do." Cryus got to his paws and smiled wickedly, "I am going to turn her whole world upside down if it is the last thing I do."

Hamlet watched the black, scar covered dog before him, "And how do you plan to do that?"
"She thinks that all the dogs that lost are weak, but I see potential in the masses. All the dogs that lost cannot breed in Pripyat…but she has no power over anything we do outside of this forsaken city."

With ears perked up in shock, Hamlet could hardly believe what he was saying, "W-what are you implying? That we all leave?"

A cunning grin touched Cryus' lips as he looked at the dog before him, "And why not? We all came here with nothing to begin with didn't we? Why else would we enter such a tournament? We all came to find something and in losing, be it your fault or the lies of Beyra, we can find reception. A second chance to fill whatever hole is in us."

Cryus chuckled softly, "And spitting in the eye of that old, hag Beyra doesn't hurt either…"
Just a short little something to show case what I think started this whole group xD

Are you implying that Beyra is not a friendly, well-meaning young lady?
